Villa Desciption: Newly built 4 bedroomed town house in typical Ottoman syle, with stunning views over the nature reserve. 15 minutes walk to the sea, 5 minutes stroll to the river and the numerous riverside restaurants. Akyaka remains a favourite destination on the Turkish Coast and just 40 minutes from Dalamnan. Full use of swimming pool and spa at the 5 Star Ottoman Hotel (for over 12s) and use of two other pools with close walking distance. Private garden with sun loungers, dining table and chairs and in- built BBQ. Quiet location yet within easy reach of all amenities. 10 minute stroll to the shops and local bakery. Boat trips available either for birdwatching on the river or the explore the numerous turqoise bays along the coast.

Coast/Beach: Akyaka remains one of the favourite destinations on the Turkish coast with its wide sandy beach and constant cooling breeze within walking distance of the house. The beach is ideal for children and the beach side restaurants provide the ideal lunch venue. Beds and sun umbrellas are plentiful. Snorkelling enthusiasts will enjoy the rocky coastline. At the far end of the beach, pedalos and canoes can be hired. Wind-surfing lessons are also available. Beyond the beach is the forest park where you will be surrounded by the smell of wood drifting up from the Turkish BBQs. The crystal clear river enters the sea and at the mouth are moored Kofte boats where you can buy delicious kite or fried fish sandwiches very cheaply. The river is rich is wildlife and is ideal for bird watching. River trips are available and include lunch. Also boat trips go from the harbour to the many beautiful bays of the Gokova Gulf. Visit the famous Cleopatras Beach and the ancient island city of Kedreai. If the wind is right you will be accompanied back by a school of dolphins. The shingle beach of Cinar is just a five minute taxi ride away from Akyaka
Out & About: Akyaka is situated at the end of the beautiful Bay of Gokova, tucked in between the sea and the Sakara Tepe mountains. The village has numerous food shops and a village bakery. A permanent fruit and vegetable market ensures you have the best choice of locally grown fruit. Akyaka - with its rugged backdrop of awe inspiring mountains, surrounding acres of pine forests, crystal clear freshwater river and exquisite Ottoman style architecture is just 40 minutes drive from Dalaman Airport. Akyaka is a nature reserve, scenically stunning and unspoilt but with an abundance of eateries. Its situated between Marmaris and Mugla,both 30 minutes away by bus. Both quite different towns. Mugla has a large traditional Turkish market and Turkish Baths. Marmaris has lots of nightlife and also good markets. There is a comprehensive tour programme available from the village. Captains Tour Operators also offer trips to green lake at Dalyan or Akbuk Bay to practice your water skiing or have fun on a banana boat. Akyaka is an ideal holiday destination, great for both couples and families. It remains predominately a Turksih resort, and thus retains its delightful atmosphere. Most holiday makers return year after year.
