Kas County includes 70 km of Mediterranean coastline and lies across from Meis Island. Kas is situated mid-way between Antalya and Dalaman – both of which have airports. There are numerous flights to both of these destinations from most UK airports but the better choice is Dalaman as the roads from there to Kas are much better making the transfer quicker. KAS BEACHES Towards the southeast of the town, you will find the beaches of Kucukcakil, Buyukcakil and Akcagerme, which feature thousands of little stones. it is surrounded by a tiny cove with olive trees. Another beach which is worth checking out is the small beach of Kaputas. It is approx19km away, and lies at the bottom of 192 rocky steps from the road. It is an area of unspoilt beauty and serves as a place for picnics and sunbathing.

If you decide to give it a go you can expect to see a beautiful array of sea creatures like octopus, fish and also wrecks and possibly dolphins. Kekova Island - You can expect to see a variety of sunken ruins and striking bays, which over a period of time, earthquakes caused these ancient cities to sink under the sea. The sea is so clear that the details of this unique site - staircases, kilns, a quayside - can be seen whilst sitting on a boat. Boat trips - There are many one-day boat tours available, the most popular as well as most rewarding one being the glass-bottomed boat Aqua Alkim. As the discription states it is glass-bottomed, which allows you to see everything in the ocean below you.
